While under the pretense of a horror game, The Path is far from it.

I was recommended to play the game because i am looking for a horror game to curb my appetite. But to my dissapointment, The Path offers me a different genre all on its own and it is very difficult to describe in words. The game offers too much symbolism and may look very very stupid if you do not get the context or meaning of the different elements. The game also suggest adult content although not presented directly.

The graphics is mediocre, although that is not its best to offer. The game focuses on exploration which is very very boring sometimes. The sound and the dark woods make up much of the horror elements of the game but it dies quickly and after a few hours, its not that scary anymore. But some elements makes up a suspenseful feeling that will sometimes make you jump out of your seat or just make you laugh.

The Path features 7 playable characters and each of them are instructed to visit their grandmother and to stay on the path, thus the title. And in my first try, thats what i did and to my surprise, i met the game over screen.

I enjoyed The Path only for a few hours and it got boring from there. Not a very good game although i applause Tales of tales for bringing a different approach.
