I wasn't motivated to play this game given the low score given for most of the reviewers. After several years of being launched I decided to give it a try for two reasons: 1) The cost is extremely low compared to the quality of game and 2) It is short enough to be beaten in few days.
Well, super glad I gave it a try, this is one of the best games I have played recently.
Based on the reviews I read, the major cons are: a) there are several cut-scenes, b) it is short, and c) lack of freedom.
To me, those cons are pros.
a) The cut-scenes are one of the best in games. Those represent the history very well, extremely high quality, very well done. Acting, music, atmosphere, everything plays in favor here. Very well paced during the game.
b) Short. Given the type of game, it is ok to be that short. I recommend to play it in Medium difficulty at least in order to get some challenge and make the game the felling that it is not as short as it appears to be if play on easy.
c) Lack of freedom, it is just a matter of expectation. I was really aware about that this type of game with severe cut-scene and story driven, not necessarily needs to be that freedom. It is OK the way it is.
Graphics: are one of the best I have seen so far. Really impressive how well it is.
Music: perfectly fits the atmospheres and scenes.
Difficulty: perfectly balanced.
Truly recommend to play this game. Worst case scenario if you don't like it, you just wasted a few dollars and less than 7 hours of your life.
