Any fan of the classic tetris will enjoy playing The New Tetris. Certainly there are a few changes. For instance, you can hold a block in the corner to use later. Switching out with this block becomes very important for advanced play. Also, "blocks" can be made. This is when you create a perfect 4 x 4 block using any of the traditional pieces. Use all the same blocks (4blue, 4grey, etc.) and you get a gold block.

With three different styles to play the game has countless hours of fun. Marathon let's you play until you just can't keep the blocks down. This is the traditional style. Spring and Ultra are the new ways to play. These are played in the same way as marathon except the game ends when you either reach 150 or when 3:00 is up, depending on which mode you're in.

The greatest advantage is that you can play with four players. Also, you can put garbage on. Getting rid of lines causes your opponents to stack blocks on the bottom of their pile.

The graphics are.... well.... it's tetris come on! Yay pretty blocks!
The sound... oh man it can get so annoying to listen to the same songs over and over.

A great buy for tetris fans. If you weren't a tetris fan before now, don't buy it, this game won't change your mind.
