Wonderful yet easy. FAR too easy.
The game is great! it has a great concept, and you can approach it from the view of
A) a creative person into making their own movies
or
B) someone who loves tycoon games
but thats it.
you can't approach both tactics at the same time.
because a tycoon player will not be able to make their own movies (long ones) and have their business succeed, and a movie person will spend a lot of time working on their movies, but will fail at managing their empire, have stars become unhappy, and go into bankruptcy, game over.
This is one of the failings of this game, to some, not to me. i play it tycoon style.
but its too damn easy.
i use my created star (maybe this is why its too easy?) and by 1925 he is highest charting star.
every time.
by 1930 i clean out the awards ceremony. later on i only lost to such awards as "highest climbing studio" as i can't climb any higher than #1.
i rake in millions, my star and director are both number 1 ans 2 respectively, i hold the top 8 movie slots, and my research lab usually allows me to have Cutting Edge technology rating for decades.
you think it would get harder as time goes on? well no. I do PR after movies, and while other movies are shooting (PR on the script) and PR on the actors which adds to actors and the movie they are currently on.
stuntmen? pfft. Tiniest bit shaky, but then i have trained stuntmen who can easily pull off any required stunt.
Stress? pfft, thats what bar and restaurant are for, while also bulding valuable relationships that make your movies EVEN BETTER.
while the game is great, challenging it is not.
had it been harder, or had a difficulty option somewhere. i would give it a 10/10 (i love tycoon games)
