When I first heard about a game called "The Maw" the first thought that came to my head was who would come up with a weird title like that. When I got to see actual gameplay footage of it I was imediately interested. The style of graphics are something that you would normally see from a Pixar movie which makes this a great game for kids.

Yes, the game is pretty easy, throwing in a few puzzles here and there that dont take much time at all to figure out. Only one puzzle stopped me for a sec and I actually figured it out by total accident. The game will not take a long time to beat, somewhere around 2 and a half to 3 hours for some players who try to beat the game 100% by fully completing every stage. A total of 8 stages through out the entire game.

As for the story, it is a simple one. You play an alien named Frank who has a special connection with a creature called Maw, who acts sorta like mans best friend because you have to guide him around with a leash and comes when you call him. Stranded on a strange planet you move from one place to another feeding Maw the variety of local animals that include fire lizards and lazer shooting birds. Gainning special abilities from some of the creatures you will be able to solve puzzles and move on to the next location. As you progress through the game, Maw will slowly start to grow from a creature half your size to being ten times taller than you.

All in all this a good game that I enjoyed from the very beginning all the way to the ending credits. For hardcore gamers that like putting their minds to the test, this probably isnt for you but if your looking for a game that is just plain fun then the 800 points(ten dollars) are well worth it.
