There are better point-and-click adventure games out there.

User Rating: 5.5 | The Lost Crown: A Ghost-hunting Adventure PC
About the one good feature of this humble game is the use of the ghost-hunting gadgets to reveal ghostly finds, where the game taps on the thrill of witnessing paranormal activities. The visual treatment is a nice blend of 3D models and real-life photos, all in a vintage black-and-white theme, which strongly enhances the atmosphere. Though the background looks scenic, repetitive walking around makes it mundane after a while.

Music is minimal at times and extremely gloomy, Whereas the cryptic sound design weaves its way around in an experimental sort of way. The voice acting however, is one of the most annoying factors that spoils this adventure game, especially the main character. Sounding like an arrogant Englishman and awkwardly sloppy at times, it spoils whatever tension and mood the game builds up for you whether the character's in danger or being spooked. Or maybe it's the monotone accent that tends to make you think the voice actor is doing his job over an afternoon tea.

The pace of the game is painfully slow, be it the voice acting, the floaty animation and particularly the repetitive walking around. The puzzles are poorly crafted and don't make sense sometimes. Even with a full walkthrough, it's still a chore to play. Most point-and-click adventure games have the tendency of being a little slow, but The Lost Crown can really be stale at times, making revising for your History test a more fun activity. Perhaps it really is the emphasis of a lot of history info in the game, be it fictional or not, and most of the time, they are pointless.

This is a game for the very VERY patient individuals. Do yourself a favor if you're thinking of getting this game: pass.
