Better than average Hack -n- Slash Dungeon Crawler, with Outstanding Co-Op play that makes this a keeper!
1. Co-Op play.
2. Watching, in slow motion, when you time a heavy strike just right and you decapitate an ogre or other villains head (and get extra xp for dong it too)
3. Equipment and Weapon Selection & Perks, including buffing some with runes.
4. The ability to find, buy or even trade items with co-op friends (Headgear, Bracers, Chest Plate, Leggings, Boots, Shoulder Pads) until you make a specific set you want and then you can enjoy all the perks that come with having the set.
5. During many parts of the game, you can get feathers that allow you to call a Giant Eagle to crush your opponent.
What is Good:
1. Graphics & sound.
2. I like the game is very straight forward and it is nearly impossible to get lost or not to complete each mission in the order you need too.
3. They have not patched the glitch that gives you all the money you want so buying equipment is not a problem, BUT if you want to be a purest, you do not have to take advantage of it. It is also good if you buff your characters with the better equipment, the game makes the villains stronger to compensate.
4. Even on XBOX, the play is very smooth, unlike some XBOX games that can have FPS lag during big battles, and there are a lot of big battles in this game.
What could have been better:
1. Game does not let you save it, you must wait to you hit a save point.
2. The game can freeze up if you decide to visit or go between villages to search for equipment from venders versus staying on mission. (Will restart fine)
3. Does not let you replace an older rune with a newer one.
4. Only 3 player Co-op (Should have let you do FOUR)
5. During 3 player Co-op, each person has to be only one of the three choices.
6. NO controller sensitivity setting or self mapping ??? This is 2012 people.
Overall, I love this game because my kids and I can go spelunking and merk and crush things; AND every now and then we pull off a Co-op strike for extra XP and get to watch as we decapitate enemies together.
