I'm going to have to disagree with gamespot review, this game is awesome! (For a couple of hours at least)
I found that this game was a actually fun! Though it is not as good as ROTK or most of the other games, I thought that this game should have been a stepping stone for future games. In the game, you play as Frodo, and you have the freedom to explore the many places the game brings you to. There is one part in the game that when playing as Aragorn, you have to kill a couple of people in Bree, and it was without a doubt the most fun I've ever had fighting a random person in a game. Weird! As Aragorn you can fire arrows at enemies, and the best part is...they stay in the enemy. Also, when an enemy dies, they don't disappear! Awesome! Finally, as Frodo you can throw rocks, seriously...rocks...and this is actually very satisfying. So here is the final line: If you have a couple of bucks lying around and you're a fan of the lord of the rings, just get it! You'll have fun playing it, even if you never pick it up again afterwards.
