One of the greatest games of all time

You've heard about it, but does it live up to the hype? Absolutely.

The story of the game is really, really good. I don't want to spoil too much, but suffice to say that it is one of the strongest plots in the Zelda series. Every single character, even the most minor, feel as if though there is a story behind them, and you end up getting involved that much more. It's also fairly long, so there's both quality and quantity.

The gameplay itself is very fun. It's a blend between a puzzle game and an action-adventure game. The dungeons in the game have the right balance of difficulty. Most are hard enough that they'll make you think, but you'll still be able to do them if you try hard enough. There is, however, one infamously difficult water temple.

The boss battles are epic, and really get your blood pumping. You get an immense feeling of satisfaction after defeating the boss of a dungeon you worked hard to finish.

The world of Hyrule is huge and filled to the brim with side-quests that all reward you in some way, so there's always something to do.

The graphics are lacking by today's standards, but they're not bad enough to be distracting. Besides, there's always a sort of mood that hangs in the air, that really sets it apart. For example, there are still some dungeons later on in the game that are genuinely scary, despite being over a decade old.

The music is fantastic. It's some of the best I have heard in a videogame, ever, and it really helps set the mood for the game. If you feel happy or scared, the music is probably playing a big part in why.

Overall, this really is an amazing game. Despite being over ten years old, it still holds up today thanks to a compelling story, a likeable cast of characters, fantastic music and great design. If you ever get the chance, definitely check it out.
