Okay. First off let me tell you that I never owned an N64 and I never played the original Legend of Zelda:Ocarina of Time. In fact, I preordered this game off the internet so I got it AFTER I got The Wind Waker. After playing the greatness that is The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, I had a lot of expectations for Ocarina of Time, since it got an even higher score than it's newest sequal. Let me tell you this: It met my expectations and went way, way, above them. First off, the gameplay. This game has some of the best controls ever. Nintendo is genious. They set the order of this game up so well it makes you wonder if their human. The spacing between the exploring of Hylrule, meeting people, finding things, and going through dungeons is perfect. Speaking of the spacing and the dungeons, the dungeons are amazing. Once again Nintendo found the perfect ballance in the difficult battles and the clever puzzles. Second, graphics. Okay, so compared to The Wind Waker, Ocarina of Time's graphics just aren't that good. But I still give it a 9 because compared to the games when the original came out, the graphics are spectacular, with little particles and details that some games even today don't include. Plus, Nintendo did enhance the graphics a little, so I have to give them props for that. The sound is pretty much the same deal as the graphics. The quality just isn't that great, whith synthesized music and general sound effects. But, it has an amazing soundtrack and some great sound. The tune's are so catchy they just make you want to dance. As the leader of the gorons once said when he heard Saria's Song: OHHHHHHYAAAA!!! The value is unbeleivebly great. If I could give it a 1,000, I would. Not only do you get two FREE games when you preorder The Wind Waker, but both of those games are rather long and difficult, and they both have exelent replay value: not because of extras, but because it is just so amazingly fun. Overall, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is amazing. It has perfect controls, perfect balance, perfect graphics and sound(considering the times) and great value. I could easily recomend this game to anybody that lives.
