Perhaps no challenge in video game history has EVER been harder, than the one Nintendo presented for themselves in 1998. They released what was called, the greatest video game in history, with "Ocarina of Time." How can Nintendo manage to top itself, yet do something completely different at the same time? In 2000, Nintendo managed to do the impossible; with something that was on one hand, familiar, and yet completely original, at the same time. This remake of "Majora's Mask" is very faithful to the original, with notable enhancements. The game is a lot brighter on the handheld then it was on the console, so it's a lot easier to see where you're going in rooms that were originally too dark to see in properly, and see enemies in the dark a lot easier. The attacks made by Deku Link and Goron Link also work a lot better than they used to, as well. Another nice new improvement, is that saving at the owl statues now equals a hard save, and you don't even need to use your sword to hit it in order to activate it! Learning and remembering who you have helped and what you need to do, is a lot easier as well, as the Bomber's Notebook has been enhanced, in order to remember more people and even specific events that have been accomplished. The way to beat the bosses is a little different than in the original game, but nothing too serious. Besides the superior graphics, the biggest change in this game is the two new fishing holes Link can play at in this game, although that activity is entirely optional. This game builds upon the game-play that "Ocarina of Time" pioneered for the N64 AND the 3DS, and manages to perfect BOTH of the already GREAT controls from those video games! If there is only one new game you buy for the Nintendo 3DS from 2015, "Majora's Mask" is the one; it is a very unique experience you will NEVER forget! Enough said!
