At the time when Link's Awakening first came out for the GameBoy I didn't own one. I was disappointed that Link's adventures were going to continue and that I couldn't participate because I couldn't afford a Gameboy. Probably for this reason more than any other I constantly berated the game without playing it. I put down the graphics, I said the game play couldn't equal that days standards, and overall said it sucked.

Now having experienced the game on my GameBoy Advance I come to understand how wrong I was. While are a little basic compared to today's standards, I feel that they pushed the very limits of the system for that time. The story and game play are so good that very quickly you won't even notice the graphics.

Playing this game give a great feeling of nostalgia as is plays similar to the original Zelda for the NES, but which enough things incorporated from 'A Link To The Past' to remind you of that game as well.

With a large overland map, and several dungeons and side quests, I had as much fun playing Link's Awakening as I did the original Zelda game. I recommend it for all Zelda fans. This has been another review from Eherosparkman.
