to relive the greatist game of all time is just amazing

I turned it on and sank back into my favorite game, and immediately realized why they hadn't even asked $20 for it (I was wondering why I HAD to get it free, I couldn't just buy it). The 'special edition' videos contained absolutely NO INFORMATION. The retrospective was all really weak gameplay clips pimping all the other Gameboy gear you should already own, as was the Wind Waker video. Also, the direct port from N64 to GC caused a musical hiccup in Majora's Mask, possibly due to the N64's burst memory management, which handles music in 'chunks' of memory vs the GC's streaming CDs, leaving me wishing they could have remastered all that music. I would have been willing to pay for that! It's pretty easy to ignore though, it only ever happens during cutscenes, when there is music playing for a long time in the background and the characters onscreen all start shouting to each other. Other than that, the game runs fantastic! I am loving this disc! The NES ports are flawless and all the play control is just as it should be (Zelda II requires skilled fingers). The 'choose game' menu itself is so friggin' fly it's almost worth the trouble of getting the game in itself (old school transparent faeires dance around the 'Legend of Zelda' screen, Link's sword glints majestically in unseen sunlight on the 'Zelda II' screen). I have yet to mess with Ocarina of Time, as I got burned out on that with the Master Quest disc, but the other three I know are complete and work great. I will be spending the next month busting Majora's Mask open again, and I urge all other Zelda fans to take advantage of this offer as well. This collection likely won't be around forever.
