The Last of Us Review

User Rating: 10 | The Last of Us PS3

I've played The Last of Us long after it was released. I've already seen all the news, reviews and all they hype around the game. Everybody was praising it from every direction, and me, being a PS fan, was dying to actually get to play it.

By the time I actually got to the point of playing it, because of the reviews, I was already expecting the best gaming experience of my life and to be overwhelmed with how amazing the game is. I had thought to myself that due to the overhype I had in my head, I might expect more than it actually is, and that I would be rather disappointed.

I was very wrong. Even though I was already picturing it in my head as the best game ever created, STILL, it left me amazed and impressed for every single angle I looked at it. I was overwhelmed with everything the game brought in front of me. This would be a great thing alone, but impressing me that much even though I built up huge expectations in my head, is indeed incredible.

The game is by far the best ever created. It's the only game I've played to perfectly combine every single aspect and focus on making it the best possible. The only game where the story and character development are comparable to the best movies of our times, where the directing and acting are perfectly done, where the graphics push the console's capabilities to the max, and where the gameplay is original, interesting and varied.

I will not give any detail to any of these factors. Why? Because you need to try it for yourself. The game is simply amazing, a masterpiece, so there's no point in me throwing some details regarding story/characters/gameplay and so on. I would be impressed if anybody who plays this game is not amazed by it, so instead of explaining things, I'd much rather recommend it.

I want to congratulate Naughty Dog and Sony for what they've managed to achieve, and I hope to see more games in the future where everything will be as well crafted as it was for The Last of Us. Thank you for setting a standard and for creating such a masterpiece.
