First of all, I would like to say that I don't care about all the lesbian, feminist etc agendas. It didn't affect my criticism of the game. The story didn't bother me as much as it did with most people. What bothered me is that the game itself didn't manage to hook me in at any point. I got to the Abby part and got really bored.
It's not that the game is bad, or that it doesn't have good gameplay elements in it, but is suffers from huge pacing issues and repetitiveness. Gather ingredients, craft weapons, level up abilities, clear some area, watch some cut scenes etc. The problem with that is that the game now feels more like a Tomb Raider, rather than a survival game.
In fact, Ellie is more Lara Croft than ever. This is something that I personally didn't need and what I hated is that she has now turned into a cold blooded killer.
I don't know what kind of trends have the Walking Dead or Game of Thrones set, with their shocking beloved protagonists' brutal deaths, or with gruesome murders and killings, but this is so hard to watch it coming from Ellie. The creators were obviously trying to share the message that personal vendettas and revenge are always leading to more drama and suffering, but I think they went a little too far.
Apart from these, the graphics and the sound are top, I can't imagine the PS4 doing any better. To conclude, The Last of US 2 is a good game but I didn't enjoy it at all. I will finish it some time, maybe not...
