Best King of Fighters ever!
And even though the PS2 gave us a lot more of these games, I still treat King of Fighter '98 with very high regard, and that's because the others couldn't match it for some reason.
But mind you, that was also the time when I still didn't know how to make complicated moves, I had X-Men Mutant Academy 2 teach me that.
Still, every moment with the game I had was great, but I just can't remember whether there were any flaws or not. I get a nostalgia rush anyway when someone mentions this, and that's probably reason enough to rate it high, for me anyway.
I won't go into detail with this game because... it's just the same fighter you've all experienced, it's just that the formula is done very much right in this one.
But the Japanese language was pretty irritating since I couldn't understand, but mind you, it's the gameplay that really mattered, although I still couldn't get myself to remember that Circle meant OK in a Japanese game, while X meant No.
