It's pretty bad, but not a complete failure

Sometimes you just have to ask yourself, why?

Oh,look its another film - game conversion, how many times do games companies have to be told that it NEVER works.

This game is short, easy as hell and has mediocre graphics. Sounds bad? you wouldn't be completely wrong.

The graphics aren't awful, but basically the cars and backgrounds are bland, pale and undetailled in every way possible.

There is an annoying drone for the car sounds and a beat in the background but literally thats it.

This game plays badly, the cars have floaty handling and the missions are thrown together, this isn't a patch on the movie.

The story mode lasts around 2 hours and then there are a few circuit races and some stunt courses. All in all the game lasts around 4 hours and thats for around 95% completion.

OK so the game is pretty awful and incredibly short, however the stunt courses are the highlight of the game and they save it from being a complete failure. Although there arent many of them they are the only challenge that the game throws at you and they are pretty fun (amazingly)!

So, I do agree with GAMESPOT's opinon that the game was thrown together, but if your bored one afternoon then this game is an optional rent. It will fill the time, its not something you'll remember or probably want to play again, but it does provide a few cheap thrills if you can look past its many downfalls
