Well, maybee that's a little harsh. This game does have some redeeming features, for instance the graphics are soft on the eye. It has the kind of simple graphics that can be found in JB Nightfire or the simpsons skateboarding. The physics of the game are also not bad. It does feel that you are driving a Mini at the right speed and not as if it were a Saturn V rocket. However, the game has an astonishing lack of maps and cars. OK, granted that the mini is the dominent car in the film, but all you can drive in this is about a dozen cars and even them aren't that good. There's a stunt track mode which is as pointless as it sounds and the mission levels look very poor. The most dissapointing thing however is that there is no sense that they put any effort into making it. There's no movie in between missions, only a voice explaining the storyline. Gamespot is correct, the makers were clearly only trying to cash in on the movie's 'so-called' success. Buy the itallian job on ps1 if you like that sort of thing. Now that you wont be dissapointed with.
