User Rating: 3.5 | The Immortal NES
The game's just too damn hard. And I mean hard. I've been playing it on an emulator, using savestate option every corner, every battle... to no real effect. I've turned it off in the middle of level two. There are seven levels in a game, mind you (as some guide says). If - as I expect - they are getting continuously harder, The Immortal is nothing more than a massacre for yor self-respect as a gamer. I just don't see a possibility to beat this game! Almost everything here hurts your protagonist here; on top of it, hidden traps are planted everywhere, so basically you ought to memorise every move that got to be made.
I give this game 3,5 (that mush!) only because the setting is great, real hard fantasy ****; story - a bit I actually discovered... - interesting, and, well, that something that made me try tens of times.
If just someone turned down (way down!) ridiculous difficulty of this very promising game, it would be a blast to play!!!

I've got to check Genesis version. Not sure if it's easier, but, as I read, a lot bloodier!
