Been there, want to do it all over again!!!
Back are the days of hours playing ICO or finding the next collossus. The two masterpieces of the PS2 are back on the PS3 with HD resolution, 3D and….trophy support.
My television doesn't support 3D so I can't tell you what it looks like. (sorry!!)
The port to the PS3 is in my opinion a success. The graphics are HD. Allright critical note: it looks like they only changed the resolution and not upped the polygons :-) which would create, in effect, a "new" game. So they stayed true to the original what, in my humble opinion, is the greatest thing to do with this particular HD collection.
The gameplay for both games isn't changed. So it's been there and done that. But to play this game after a couple of years in HD resolution is FANTASTIC. The sensation of hunting Collossi or to make sure Yorda isn't captured (again! sigh) is intense and brings back memories. The loneliness of Wander, the bonding of ICO and Yorda. Ahhhh where is my Playstation 3 if you need it.
See, it has happened again. Adiction to the worlds of Fumito Ueda. Well this will bridge the gap to "Last Guardian" which by the way is already on my pre-order list here in Holland :-)
Missed the PS2 versions of both games? First: SHAME on you. Second: go to the nearest store and get this collection, pronto.
