Great graphics and immersive into one of my favorite conflicts, the Civil War. Being able to use the period weaponry alone is a reason to buy this game.
You get your mitts on the Springfield breech loader, Burnside carbine, the famous Henry Rifle, Enfield Musket, the Spencer repeating rifle also the Colt revolver which is basically a backup sidearm that you'll soon trade for a two barreled breech shotgun.
Also the Gatling gun and a cannon mounted on an 'iron-sides' battleship are part of missions you'll get to play out. This is a MUST have for any Civil War or firearms fan.
The missions may seem a bit 'corridor' without much wiggle room at first, but this fact doesn't take away the enjoyment of being able to pick off soldiers with a primitive breech loading sniper rifle! Talk about 'one-shot one-kill!'
I'm just not sure how I missed this game when it came out a year ago! The fact that it's backed up by the History Channel is a nice bonus since the game also teaches as well as entertains.
