5.5 to 8.5
I played the Darkness... first i did not think much of it. I got it at a really good price. as most of the games i buy. as the peeps who know me, knows i do NOT buy a game OVER 200kr and the reason for that is i just get disapointed. when a game cost 200kr or even 149 or less.. that is better for the better the game is once i play it.. the more i feel it was worth the money.
gamestop here in sweden, has 3 for the price of 2 ; so sometimes i get a game for free. when buying 3 games for 149 kronor. games for 99 kronor or less is even better. the more games i can buy at once the more fun it is. and i have found a way to get games for free. But that is my secret.
Anyway.. back to Darkness... the graphics are not all to brag about as i can think of a few shooters that has better graphic then this, but also Darkness has better graphics then a few NEW releases (as of the last 2 years)..
so it is still every playable. and i enjoyed it alot. it is sad about what happens to Jenny. i think Jackie should been able to stop it,. but then it wouldnt turn into a revenge story as it does once Jenny is taken out of the pictures.
the game intails alot of "Making phone calls" to release extra content. but as i play throught the game i dont have time to find out what that is,even after the game is over.
the inbetween monolog from jackie while loading the next "section/map/level".
is cool. but could have been dropped. as we still have to wait for it to load.
We get side missions from people we meet, and for my experiance there were a few side missions that i missed completting do to the fact that i was in a rush to follow games true objective (to get at uncle pauly) so by forgetting about getting paid for taking care of the thugs at whitepool and catching up with and giving back the harmonica to the guy in the substation) the road leads me one the last trip to Pier 19 where a boat is waiting to take Us (jackie) to the lighthouse witch has the final "level".
Once getting use to how the darkness works and how the controls are, its pretty easy to move around and the games is fun. so much so that i know do look forward to Darkness II. i have played the demo. the graphics have improved,.
as for Darkness multiplayer.... it seems fine. but i hate waiting to be accepted into "shoot-outs" or getting kicked from sessions (of any multiplayer) i suggest that for all who looks to get a copy of darkness... stick to the campaign aka story mode!
so after playing the complete game i move from a rating of 5.5 to 8.5.
as i now will sell the game and make a profit just like gamestop does.
horrible to think that they buy a game for 80 kronor and then sell it for 300 kronor.. so i never ever "re-sell" back to game stop. i rather throw the game out or find someone that is worth of buying it.
the game i finished prior to this (in between playing this) was Bad Company, Singualrity to name a few... .
