As a fan of the Monkey Island games since the beginning, I must say this is by far my favorite, and that is saying a lot

I miss these point and click adventure games... especially the Lucasarts entries into the genre. The Monkey Island series was the best of the best in PC adventure gaming, and I'm glad to see that the series is experiencing a rebirth of sorts now on both the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. But the question I have is will any of the new games touch this peak of the series? Not likely. But as long as the saga of Guybrush, Elaine, Lechuck and the rest of the gang continues, I'm not going to complain. The aforementioned characters, along with the rest of the cast, are intoxicating. You can't help but love these motley pirates and caribbean goofballs. And the Curse of Monkey Island is the pinnacle of their adventures. It's more of an interactive movie than a game, that's how good the animation and voice acting are. And the environments and various islands each have their own identity. From beginning to end this is a masterpiece.
