The Wii is pushed even closer to it's limits with this amazing game that turned out to be just what the doctor ordered!
Gameplay: You already know The Conduit is a first person shooter designed from the ground up for the Wii. The controls in this game are spot on and fully customizable. I'm not going to get too deep into the subject but I will say that you can fix the controls to fit your shooting style perfectly.Every time you kill an enemy will be so much more rewarding with the Wii remote than when using dual analog sticks.
Playing this game online is great fun and has more options than any other Wii game.You can customize your character, controls, and Wii speak options, HUD and more. There is also a ranking system that goes quite high and will inspire you to invest time into raising it. There are plenty of game modes that will keep you on the edge of your seat for a long time to come. Playing The Conduit online is tons of fun and whether you win or lose, and there is already a good sized community behind it (If you thought you where good at analog stick shooters, lets see how good you are at The Conduit.) 9.4/10
P.S. There is a lock-on feature that helps you stick in the general direction of your opponents and view their health.
Story: You play as Michael Ford who works for a secret government agency... don't want to spoil things too much.Their are plot twists and great voice acting too. In my opinion, certain people should quit complaining about cliches and sit back and enjoy the story (which does have hidden messages and other cookies to piece things together.) 7.0/10
Graphics: High Voltages very own new Quantum 3 engine powers this game, and it looks beautiful (for any system.) Their are things like advanced glowing effects and blurring effects as you focus on reloading your weapon or looking through a scope. The character models have great detail and plenty of different animations. If you've seen certain other Wii games than you'll know that this game is several steps ahead. 8.9/10
Sound: ....What can I say about this.... It sounds, great. There is decent music, good surround sound and you can tell distances based on how loud some thing is. You couldn't really ask for more! 8.4/10
Replay Value: There are achievements, hidden messages and weapons, customizable characters, 3 save slots and online ranking system, several game variants, and Wii speak compatibility (which has plenty of adjustable settings.) 8.6/10
Final words: If you have a Nintendo Wii, or If you are already hooked on some other FPS but you have a Wii and want to see what all the fuss is about, then buy The Conduit! It does accomplish its goal as beingbest FPS on the console and an awesome game! For that, I give it a 9 out of 10!
