Best hand-to-hand combat, right amount of stealth, awesome gun action, but gets hard to the point of frusteration?

First off, I gotta tell you how awesome the hand-to-hand combat is. It alone is worth playing the game. You can make up your own combos, do a finishing move on them, all different depending on what weapon you have. If you have your bare fists and a guard tries to hit you with their gun, you can grab their gun, flip it around to their head or stomache and blast their brains out! If you have a knife (shive), you grab them and slit their throat or jab their neck. If you have a club, you smash that thing into their head so hard, their skull will be nothing but dust. You can pull just about all of those on to prisoners too, except for the gun part, your just stuck with your fists.

In stealth sequences, you can grab your enemies by the back of the neck and twist it like there's no tomorrow. You get to choose if you want it to be a quiet snap or a loud crack. If you have a shive, you can either stab them in the back and rip up their torso, blood bath! Or you can cover their mouth and stab the side of their neck and watch the blood spirt out! If you have a club, you can smash it at the side of their knee and hear it break. Then after they fall to their knees, you finish him off with a blow to the side of the head. Or you can grab him and snap is neck quietly.

That brings us to the guns. What I like with the guns is that you dont have a crosshare. Instead your gun has a laser on it, sweetness! Makes it even more relistic. When you shoot them, you can actually see the bullet holes that you left in them! The blood that spirts out when they get hit is relistic too, and the splatters on the walls and floors make it better. Theirs more gun fights than hand-to-hand, but it's ok cause you get multiple guns and you wont get tired of them. There is one part where you just have a tazer gun. It's pretty fun at first, but you get stuck with it for a little too long. You have to shoot them with it, then go to them and stomp on their back, breaking their spine. It's cool at first, but it gets old.

Towards the end of the game you get to get in a robot suit, and it is fun! You have a built-in chaingun with unlimited ammo and you get a fire-ball launcher. It's really fun, one of my favorite parts of the game. When you shoot the people with the chaingun, something pops before they die and blood splashes everywhere.

The environment is great in it. If you look outside a window or at the sky, you can see the clouds moving and it looks real for once in a game. At the first of the game, you're outside and your on a desert planet and it looks like theirs duststorms in every direction. If you walk off into them, you'll get electicuted, so its kind a like that's the farthest the level goes that direction. You have no choice but to go into the prison. When you shoot the walls, there's a hole left where you shoot at like most games. It stays there until you shoot a certain amound of bullets somewhere else, then it just vanishes. That's the same with the holes in the people and the blood on the ground. A cool thing is that the peoples bodies never leave, so if your bored, you can beat the living crap out of a dead body as long as you want! When you shoot a light, it will blow out, well, most lights will.

You eventually get the ability to see in the dark. It's pretty helpful when you cant see and dont have a gun with a flashlight. And you can see in the dark when you enemies cant. The only problem with that is that it seems like someone is shining a light at a wall when you look at it, or you think you have a flashlight on when you dont. Another problem with it is that when someone shines a light at you or you walk somewhere where theirs a lot of lights you cant see a thing. And on the level where theirs the monster alien things that rip off the dudes head, when you shoot them they explode and they have bright blood, so it's a flash of blindness. But it's more helpful than a problem.

The graphics in it are PERFECT! Everything looks real in it. So, I'd give the graphics a 10/10. The game itself is a 9.7/10. There's some parts of it where it gets hard to the point of frusteration. I've beaten the game on easy and normal and am at the end of hard. It took me a while to beat some parts. I had to redo a few parts.

But yeah. The game is awesome. Totally worth buying and playing. The only real problem in it is the strong language. The guys in it love the F bomb. So, just a warning. But, there you go, never played it, your missing out. Get it!
