Okay indie adventure/horror game

User Rating: 6 | The Chant PC

The Chant is clearly a lower budget game, but that of course doesn't automatically mean it's going to be bad or anything - it just lacks the spit-shine you'd see on similar games in this genre - e.g. The Resident Evil Remakes. This game does nothing particularly original (e.g. like the rat swarms in A Plague Tale: Innocence), but nonetheless is worth a look for fans of the genre.

Major gripe for me is you cannot rebind keys (at least not at time of release), so unless you have a good keyboard driver, you're stuck with the default layout which is hopeless for lefties.

Game was stable (zero crashes), and ran okay at 1080p on max settings on an RTX 2060. There were some random hitches/stuttering at times, but they quickly flatten out and don't break the game.
