Bugs Bunny's Birthday Blowout has long and fun game play, a good Mario clone, a nice tribute to Bugs, and a classic.

User Rating: 9 | The Bugs Bunny Birthday Blowout NES
Intro:
It's Bugs Bunny's 50 th birthday and he's been invited to a party in his honer. However, the other tunes are angry about this and feeling that they don't get that much appreciated. So while Bugs makes his way to his party, he must avoid the angry tunes along the way.

Game play:
Easy actually. The game play seems simple for 8-bit. In fact, it's a Mario clone. But it copies Mario in a good way because it's easy and fun. You even got good and easy boss battles. Bugs Bunny's only weapon of defense is a hammer. It's like what Mario uses, but that's okay.

Graphics:
Nice 8-bit graphics. Bugs Bunny looks just like him. Daffy Duck, Elmer, Foghorn, Pepe Le Pew, Sylvester the Cat, Yosemite Sam, Tweedy, Wile Coyote, and Tasmanian Devil look like them as well.
The levels look good too in 8-bit.

Music and Sound:
The music score matches the levels perfectly. Sound effects are pretty good in 8-bit too.

Controls:
D-pad for moving Bugs Bunny around, A for jumping, and B for using your hammer.

Lasting Appeal:
Although it seems like a Super Mario Bros. rip-off, it's mostly a good classic game and a nice tribute to one of my favorite cartoon characters of all time: Bugs Bunny. 9 out of 10.
