The only reason I'm taking my time to write this review is because this game is such a piece of trash. The "arcade style" equates to "extremely unrealistic game." It is almost impossible to beat the computer, even in the easiest mode, and I am no noob when it comes to baseball games. The fielders can make unrealistic 50 foot jumps in the air to swipe every ball away from you that has a chance to be a hit. Some pitches such as sliders and turbo pitches are almost pointless to swing at as you will likely not hit them. The base running is horrible and very unpredictable. It's useless to even try to control your base runners. They just get thrown out. Also stealing bases is very hard as the fielders will use turbo to get an instant out. Also, it is very hard to control where your batter will hit the ball. The power hit is pretty much the same as the contact hit. The computer also likes to use this special ability where it gets four hits in a row and if contact is made, BOOM, home run. The player can also use this ability but of course for us, it is rare and much worse than the computers. I have not yet tried MLB 2k9 yet, but I will definitely take the Bigs 2 back to trade it in for another baseball game. For those of you who are into realistic simulation type baseball games, don't even bother with The Bigs 2. For gamers with a low threshold for patience and quick to an all out cuss fest, do not get this game. I mean it!
I just picked up this game yesterday but i think i have played it enough and waited enough to let the initial 'awesome effect' wear off. I never played the original Bigs game so I cannot compare this game to that one but... Read Full Review
look if you bought 2k9 and said what the bleep. pick this one up cuz its a thriller hands down better graphics more and worth your hard earned 60 bucks. better yet take 2k9 to your local trade and save and get a good bas... Read Full Review
