Even for a movie tie-in this steaming hunk of trash is pretty low on the pole.
This game is very uninspiring in both its design and execution. While fun initially, combat is simplistic with few options that are common in today's games in the genre and the controls at times can be unresponsive. With little in the way of tactics, group combat mechanics, the inability to give teammates orders and a very linear story progression I would view this as a step back in the genre.
The story while OK, leaves a lot of questions, especially for those who are obsessed with or are very knowledgeable about the Terminator storyline and what is viewed as canon.
Even stranger is the complete lack of celebrity likenesses or voice overs for their respective characters by the film actors, almost as if they knew this game would be a supreme letdown.
The total experience summed up is: take cover, shoot, move on, load new area, watch short cut scene, repeat. It's like Gears of War, only with kids gloves on and unlike GoW, it has no redeeming qualities .
My advice is only play this game if you are a hard-core Terminator fan or if you want an entry level shooter to prepare you for better games.
