As soon as I started playing Tera, the first thing that hit me was the polish. For an MMO, this looks fantastic, much thanks to the power of Unreal. Soon after though, It became apparent I would still need alotta patience to see through the noobie area, even if the action combat system was a blast.

Once you leave the noobie area, your given quests from the main city, then its off to a beautiful foresty area. Things start getting interesting here as I went from lvl 11 to 18 in about about 3 hours, unlocking new skills, grouping with other players to take down Big Ass Monsters, known as BAM's and getting new gear.

Theres also a ton of other small features that really sold it for me. For example being able to click on the monster/person or resource you need to kill/find from the mini quest log on the right, which instantly highlights them on your minimap.

Soon started to realize there was alot more to this game then first meets the eye. Glyphs for example unlock after level 20, and you use them to upgrade the skills youve unlocked. Gems slots on your weapon and armor add another layer to trick your character out, where you end up always on the hunt for ever more powerful gems for your weapons/armor level.

So far Im really enjoying Tera. It was abit of a roller coaster to start with, and I nearly ditched it after seeing how boring the noobie area was, but Im totally glad I didnt and now Im hooked!

Following up with review to say ive dropped this game. Should of spent that cash ona GW2 pre order. Oh well, guse this way I wont have anything distracting me from a summer filled with drunken adventures :D
