why a chracter can jump so high. this game is not fun

User Rating: 6 | Tekken 2 PS
Tekken 2 was one of the first fighting games I owned, and still remains to be a fun game. It has great characters, fun gameplay, and a variety of modes to play in. If you want a fun 3D fighter for PS1, this is a great choice.

Gameplay: Tekken is just like any other 3D fighter you have played. The controls are pretty smooth and the special attacks look great. There are a few modes to play in, including arcade mode, survival mode, practice mode, versus mode, and team battle mode. In arcade mode you fight through the game with a selected character, and if you loose, you can always try again, without having to insert money like you would at an arcade. Once you beat arcade mode you can unlock various new characters. Survival mode you have one character and try to do the same thing as in arcade mode basically, except you do not regain your health after each battle and once you loose, it's over. Versus mode and team battle mode are made for two people to play. In the regular versus mode you have one character, and in team battle you can select between one and eight to fight your opponent with. In practice mode you can practice and perfect the mad skills you will achieve through playing.

Graphics: Well in this day and age the graphics of Tekken 2 are nothing amazing, but it is nothing that will make you shutter by any means. The game flows well and I have not noticed any slow downs either. The cinematic videos are pretty nice as well.

Sound: The music is great. Nothing out of this world, but not bad either. The song in the intro is pretty cool if I do say so myself. Well for sound effects, again, nothing great, but nothing bad either. Pretty average sound here.

Replay Value: With multiple characters to unlock and movies to watch, you will be playing this for awhile. Plus if you have some restless friends who are always up for a brawl, the multiplayer modes will last you ages as well.

Rent or Buy: Unless you only plan on playing this to beat it and then be through with it, I would suggest buying it if this is what you want. But then again, there are many more fighting games on the market now days that have much more involved combat systems and other modes to play in. The price tag on this one is most likely pretty appealing though, so I’d say go for the buy whether you’re a hardcore fighting game fanatic or just the everyday person looking for some fun.
