Street Fighter 2, eat your heart out.

As a kid, I was always a fan of TMNT. The games were pretty good, but it was all old school NES stuff. When Nintendo upgraded to Super NES, I wasn't sure how they would fair. Not to mention give competition to probably the greatest fighting game franchise in the world: Street Fighter. At that time, Street Fighter 2 could have easily been the best game, and long talked about for years. Not many people actually know about TMNT tournament fighters, but if you played it, it easily gives competition to Street Fighter, which is a mouth-full. There is no combo system though, but still plenty of ass-kickery available. The only other problems with this game is the Main Menu. There is no way to pick the enemy you are going to face, which eliminates a lot of practice, and once you pick verse mode, there is no going back, you must reset the SNES if you want to fight the computer players.
