This could've been waaayyyy better, but it's still good.

User Rating: 5.5 | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles PS2
Remember the good ol' days of Konami? Well, for those who don't, they were great in making games based on shows of the 1980-90s era. One of them being TMNT. Now the heroes on the half-shell are back in a brand new game, but it isn't the classic style you're thinking of.

Gameplay: 6/10

It's a mindless beat 'em up. You get to thugs, beat the crap out of them. You can't even throw them! And where are the specials they had back in the SNES, Genesis days? Has Konami lost their edge?!?

Graphics: 7/10

They are pretty good. Cell-shaded and all. But these people are right with this new look they gave the turtles, it's nasty. They look like they've been taking steroids and now, when they're called back on TV, they look like monstrosities....

Sound: 5/10

I really would've liked it if they had the original vibe and music that the SNES games had, it really could've helped....

Replay Value: 4/10

I don't think original TMNT fans will play this again, but to you newcomers to the series, you'll probably enjoy it.

Reviewer's Tilt: 5/10

I'm not seeing the best review about this game, but it's all right...

Final Verdict: Rental at best!

Might as well rent the game TMNT fans, I'll just wait for the movie to arrive. If that isn't any good, I'll watch the original 1990s version, which was awesome.

Good: Well, the graphics are a bit colorful, gameplay is okay...

Bad: Mindless beat 'em up madness, sound could've been a bit better. Next time Konami remake one of your original games for these systems. Character designs for turtles aren't cutesy anymore...
