This game is awesome.

I played this back when I was 23, a good four years ago and is one of the biggest reasons I regret selling my PS2 (gonna buy me a new one soon). Very few RPG's captivate me with the storyline alone and this one's tops. Amazing depth and a subdued and sincere emotional range goes through each of the characters in this game, with the lead character taking the cake. You start the game wishing you were playing as somebody else (he's that much of a jerk) but you end up understanding and cheering him on each change that he goes through. The so called "drama" in this game is never heavy handed nor taken too lightly, every major event in this game is treated and handled with the care and attention that I wish all RPG's had. The well thought of battle system, skill sets and exploits (not really exploits, since it requires a certain amount of skill and timing to accomplish them) rounds up this game as one of the best ever RPG's ever. Gonna play this game with my girlfriend (finally met a gamer!) to further explore what this game has to offer. Don't hesistate, get this game any way you can, it's a remarkable experience.
