Not bad and not THAT good either.
graphics are anime-like and kinda childish.frame rate are some unstable and game is sometimes buggy and i dont blame my comp and here is the specs:- 2.5GHz, 2GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 5480 and DirectX 10.
about the gameplay .You do quests ,which can become really boring and repetitive over time, is about killing monsters( which are cacti, melons, trees, spirits that dance like a balarina, moles, living muds, wolfs, bandits, ninjas that look like a hedgehogs,crabs,clams,etc) or taking some crap left by them or running around delivering stuff like an errand boy and your reward is a really small amount of experience points, gold and sometimes equipment. u can kill monsters for experience.you can do this by yourself or by plvling which is by making a party of max 4 players and then kill monsters like a squad.you can buy ships for mostly fishing up sashimi( in game fish) and again killing monsters(seaweeds etc).if the ship takes 2 much damage, it will sink and you'll be transported back to the mainland with a broken ship in your hands and required to pay high maintainence fees to repair the ship.after you reach around lvl 15, quests are useless when it comes to gaining exp.so you will have to ask other with higher like 40, 50,60 or if you are lucky, 70, to help you.there are some others stuff which is used to enhanced the gameplay and you will have to pay with real money.they arent that good bcuz most are potions,amplifiers etc which can be used once and last for about 15-60 minutes only.some people might sell them for insanely high amounts of in game money like 1 million. but most players cheating,hacking to get that much money to buy them.
so my conclusion is that tales of pirates is game that can entertain for some hours and then becomes ultra repetitive and boring.
