An other rpg jewel from Namco!(Juxhe1)
I thought no good RPG's were going to be on the games market until Final Fantasy XII hits the shelves but I was surprised that Namco did such an excellent job in an other "Tales of" title which really impressed me! After Tales of Symphonia that was a great game Tales of Legendia is the best way to continue a good tradition of rpg's!
The story starts on a ship in which a guy called Senel and a girl called Shirley are facing a really bad storm. In the sky appears a great pillar of light that will give a start to the story of this fascinating Legend!
In the first chapters Senel will be trying to save Shirley from Vaclav a mysterious knight! As in all respected rpg's Senel will be joined from a group of well designed party members : Chloe,a knight who fights for justice and has her family name to redeem,Will,a scholar who is the Legacy's Law-enforcement oficial,Norma,a treasure-hunter which is always a pain in da back and obviously likes "Senny"!There are a lot of other characters with interesting personalities which will make the journey on Legacy a dream>
I have to admit that the environment in Legendia is unique and very very colorful that will relax the player when moving from an area to an other .The instrumental themes of the game that will acompaniate you in all the 35 hours of this game are unique and maybe a real touch of art from Namco.Everywhere you will travel you will see colourful flowers and green trees that have been missing from the latest rpg's.There are to many dungeons and to many monsters to encounter.The world map is not a very detailed one and lacks of information so you are going to check more often the small one .
The gameplay is really good and you will never get bored of the abondant fights and of the many 'monsters' you are going to face in order to level up or just becouse it is a rpg .The fights will be situated in a 2D ambient and you will control only one personage and the others will be comanded by the computer ! Along the batles you will use magic wich will get stronger each time you level up or the enemies drop eres stones !During a battle you can give comands to your companions and you can also see the number of combos you do in order to get a higher experience in the end of the batle!
As a result Tales of Legendia is a great game which gives the player a sense ofharmony and happines when playingand leads the way to great year for rpg's.
