This game strays from the more common Tales formula but in no way lacks the wonderful gameplay and characters the series
just like many others
it just looked so different to me
but after playing it i can honestly say it is one of my favorite RPG's and my second favorite Tales game(with Symphonia being first)
the game was worth the 50 bucks it came out at and i wish i bought it then
this game had such amazing characters and the way they formed their relationships and got you into each one was done amazingly
out of all the games i have played this might just have the best characters i have ever seen... it's not exactly that all the characters are so original... but the conversations, relationships, and humor the game offers.... the writing was done wonderfully for the main characters and i was always excited just to see the next cut-scene
this game had me wanting more and more
i'll admit.. the game can be pretty repetitive.. all the dungeons are pretty much thin maze like paths with a different theme that repeats itself throughout each area... the enemies are all re skins and although thats common in RPG's it is way overdone in this one..
but the characters, great soundtrack, and the amazing story this game had to offer kept me in a dream land of ultra awesome and i didn't want it to end in till long after i beat the game and was working on the character quests
the character quests had very worth while events going on within them.... but the game sends you back and forth to places you had already been and it did get a bit old... but i still had the erg to keep playing through it and that is proof enough that this game did something way right
it is rare for the events in games to be that exciting and i highly recommend this game to anyone who likes animated RPG's or just Japanese RPG's in general
trust me... you wont even realize the game is repetitive in till your much to into it to care
