The initial release was uploaded to steam by mistake, the finished product is actually very decent.
Gone are the days of silly strategy games made in Japan, Paradox Interactive always innovate with their small budget and limited staff, hopefully that will remain the same because if they got popular their games would become generic and overly polished, much like everything else these days. For example. the only global strategy game I can think of has been made by Paradox, and 3 or 4 others, like Hearts of Iron, Europea Universalis and so forth. Almost every game made by Paradox is extremely enjoyable and has literally thousands of hours of replay value, Sword of the Stars 2 is no exception.
