the accuracy and atmosphere that this game captures from the manga make this a worthwhile title to pick up A+.

the overall plot line of the game could fit in anywhere in the manga, its consistant with what the manga established, and could very well be a game version of the manga like the ps2 import berserk was.

the music of susumu hirasawa make for a great soundtrack. the voice acting is the best i have heard in a game for a while. FX wise the sounds are well timed with your actions, and sound great. when you swing your sword at a wall you get a satisfying CLang and sparks to show the impact. the arm cannon's BANG is satisfying as your enemies get engulfed in flames. and you are forced back by the blast.

the character models were well done, only with more detail added to main characters and a little less detail for supporting characters and monsters. the only down side to the game is that it is short. i beat it in roughly 3.5 hours. i guess the harder difficulties will add some things or just take me longer to subdue enemies. wont know till i try. boss wise... they are manageable, not to hard or easy, the first boss is easy bc well its the first one, but the get increasingly harder as you go on. this game is mainly for berserk fans as a lot of things will make non fans go WTF, and confuse them. the plot of this game mainly could take place in the middle of the manga's story. so its after a lot of the the development and set up. so its pretty stand alone but has a lot of things in it that is from the manga.

this game is a definite buy it when you find it game, one of the best games on the dreamcast. in fact i got a dreamcast just for this game
