Its an addictive slice of sci-fi shooter
Well take a small ship, throw in some different plantes, some giant rocks, some enemies and some rather large bosses and thats pretty much the jist of the game really. Dont let that put you off tho its actually quite good.
For one i got this at an amazing price of £1.50 as it was in a sale so even if the game wasnt any good i wouldnt have complained but i was quite surprsised to see that its actually nit a bad game.
You take control of a ship and fly round a planets ozone layer destroying incoming rocks, enemies and bosses. The rocks come in three varieties- Gold, ice and stone. Your ship comes with three different types of fire power each one stronger than the other at its chosen class, all it takes is a flip of the l1 and r1 buttons. You use the left analogue to move your ship and the right analogue to fire and this makes for a pretty smooth move and fire technique, running away and firing behind you is no problem on this game!
The game has six levels (planets) each getting gradually harder, my advice choose the gold splitter weapon and spin the right analogue stick round and round and it will give you this amazing fire beam that also acts as a shield, this makes the game slighlty easier but there will be times when you have to use your other weapons. You also have speical moves like thrust when you choose this your ship moves at super speed getting you out of dangers way. You also have bombs and you can save up as many of these untill you decide to use them.
At the end of the level you have to face a boss, these come in the shape of rather large ships but all have a pattern to the attack so its best to fly and watch them for a little bit to get an idea of the best way to attack.
Stardust hd is a fast paced game and at times thers alot going on infront of you but theres no problem with fram rate and it doesnt seem to become a distraction, the colours are great and the graphics are smooth. All in all this is one little game that delivers big things for a small price.
