User Rating: 9.2 | Super Monkey Ball Jr. GBA
Once again friends, Sega continues to impress me. With the exception of Sonic Advance 2, Sega always has been my favorite, and always will. It was 3 days ago I discovered their goofy Sonic alternative, Super Monkey Ball, for the first time, in its game boy advance version.
For those who are still clueless about just what monkeyball is, it's a monkey in a hamster ball, going around 3d mazes suspended 1000's of feet in the air and getting bannanas in the process. (ever played Marble Blast or Marble Maddness?) Instead of steering the monkey around, you steer the whole maze around and the monkey rolls in the downhill direction. Anyway, down to my original setup of ratings:

Graphics- 10/10 The first (almost) fully 3d 3rd person game for the game boy adv. I've ever seen. It just goes to show ya that gameboys really still got it.

Sound- 8/10 Eh, the music is fine. The thing that gets me is the monkey screaming every time he falls off the cliff. It's great.

Gameplay- 9/10 Defenantly a change from other 'guide a marble around the maze' games. Monkey Ball is like a platformer and puzzle game all in one. Plus the mini games do add extra fun.

Replay Value- 10/10 Probably the best travel game ever. Unless you hate puzzle games, you could play monkey ball over and over again, because each level is different. And, the mini games are full-multiplayer supported so traveling with friends is now (a little) less boring.

All in all, I'd say Monkey Ball diserves better credit. I've never played it for the consoles, but after this I will.
