A terrible control scheme takes away most of the fun in this game.

User Rating: 4.5 | Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz WII
This game is not the best way to experience the Wii. The control scheme is messed up, and the sounds are ear-grinding. The story is terrible. A bunch of monkeys have this banana, and some aliens steal it. The monkeys have to get it back. You have 8 themed worlds, but only 3 or 4 of them are actually fun. The Wii remote is really fidgety, and that can kill you. The game is a bit more tolerable is you have the Wii MotionPlus. The first 4 worlds are fun, and they challenge you with puzzles. They have a boss fight at the end, and the boss fights give you no hints, leaving you scratching your head, wondering how to defeat the boss while you're getting dominated! The last 4 worlds are exceedingly difficult, and I don't think you can actually complete them! Now, let's talk about the "Party Mode". This is where the game get's real crappy. The controls are messed up here beyond belief. For one game, you turn by slashing the air with the Wii remote, and to go left, you have to slash the air with..... the NUNCHUCK?! I don't think the Nunchuck has motion sensors in it! The sounds in the game are so annoying that you'll find yourself pausing the game, and muting the Wii Remote and the TV. In all of the party games, the controls make it impossible to play! Anyways, the good things about this game is that it's filled with content, and the first 4 worlds in the game are fun. Overall, you should rent this game first, and if you tolerate it, you can buy it.
