This game shines still to this day.

Never got to play this game to completion until recently, when purchased for 30 cents on the virtual console. I remember playing this back on my SNES and I found it tough (got discouraged a bit and then forgot about it along with other games). So I gave this game a second try and boy did I miss something.
Everything about this game is so close to being perfect (great graphics, amazing gameplay & controls, great variety of power-ups, tons to discover, great story with lot's of variety. I remember going to the wrecked ship stage and though the idea was genius:
- Spoiler: you get to this stage in the game, nothing works, then you find the passage to the boss fight (yes, finishing this stage you must defeat the boss at the start).

There's more genius in the game...

There's a lot to discover (hidden missiles, bombs, passageways,etc), the game seems immense, but you eventually get to know where to go after a little while. Even the music's awesome.

My rating for this game: 10 out of 10. I have to give it a 10, I'm not sure about the 10, but to me it's easily above 9.5, EASILY. This is another must own for players and collectors and a must play. Finished this game within a week since I was so addicted to it. My preferred controller to play it was the ProController. Thanks Nintendo, and even if it's not on sale anymore for 30 cents, it's still a bargain at 8$ (original game goes for 30 to 50$).
