This game blows the prior Mario games on the Nintendo out of the water.

Super Mario World is a very deep Super Mario Brothers game. There is so much to do in this game. There are 96 different levels, most of them with 2 exits, and all of the levels are very big. All of this stuff in enough to keep you hooked for a while. In addition to this, there are countless secrets to be uncovered, and most of them are a challenge to find. The graphics in this game are a HUGE advancement towards the ones on the Nintendo that you were seeing a year prior to this game's release. Everything looks so detailed and beautiful. They even look good now 20 years later. The game is so much fun to play. I love the feeling of running quickly through a level or trying desperately to find a secret exit before the time runs out. The only thing about the game that isn't that stellar is the music. While its good, there's nothing that is constantly in my head. I think this game is definitely the best 2D Mario game, and its my second favorite Mario game of all time, closely behind Super Mario 64. And oh yeah, I think this game is miles better than Super Mario Brothers 3.
