+ Defined a sub-genre (any game that has you throwing item weapons whilst racing has been inspired by this)
+ Easy to pick up, difficult to master. It's a cliche maybe but it could not be more true of this game
+ Multiplayer racing and battling that will last forever...and ever...and ever

- A shame it came out before the four-player generations of consoles

OVERALL

Truly, the undefeated heavyweight racing title of all time. Tracks, characters, items, cups, battles, memories. Another title that Nintendo has suprised a lot of people in skipping to go with its sequel (which is nowhere near as good) on the Wii Shop Channel. Come on Nintendo, who wouldn't pay 800 points for this classic?
