Two great classic games.

User Rating: 9.7 | Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt NES
This was really my first game...ever. I still have it, and I still enjoy it. Many of you may not be old-school gamers, but this is a game that will attract you nonetheless. Let me start off with Duck Hunt. *** ---Duck Hunt This is a game where you shoot ducks that you are hunting while your faithful dog retrieves them. You use the Nintendo Zapper Gun to shoot the ducks. Anyways, you have to shoot as many ducks as you can with only using 3 bullets to attempt to shot one duck. There are a certain amount of ducks in each round, and as you get to the higher rounds, the ducks will fly faster. If you miss more than half, I think, you will lose and have to start all over. Still, there is some humor in this game; when you miss, the dog will laugh at you, taunting. Believe me, I've seen this one too many times... Overall, this is a great game. Pick it up...if you know the places. This is an NES game after all. *** ---Super Mario Bros. This is the second game in the Mario series. In this one, you basically try to save Princess Peach from the evil Bowser. Starting off, you will see many characters that you've seen in Mario games like Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door; ex.: The Hammer Bros., the ol' lovable Goomba, Koopas of course, Bullet Bills, Bloopers, and the Piranha Plant. He can power-up too; if you collect a mushroom, he will get bigger. In this form, he can take one hit without dying, then you go back to normal Mario. (Note: In normal Mario, if you take one hit, it's Game Over.) If you hit a block that normally contains a normal mushroom, will also contain a Fire Flower. A Fire Flower will only appear if you hit the block while you still have the mushroom power-up. With a Fire Flower, you can use a special move called the fireball. It can attack enemies from a distance and those that would hurt you if you jumped on them, there are more specific details in the next paragraph. You're basic attack is the Jump attack. All you do is press A and that's it. Not hard. There are enemies that will hurt you if you jump on them. That's where the fireball comes in. It is gotten when you get a Fire Flower. Don't be careless though; if you get hit, you return to normal Mario. The fireball is also the only attack that can hurt Bowser, but that's not the only way to beat him. It also come in handy during underwater levels; it can eliminate the bloopers, which can get really annoying. In every level, there is a timer on how much time you have left to finish the level. You have to jump and maneuver through many Worlds. Each world consists of four levels and every forth level is one of Bowser's Castles. In each one, you will go through a tough dungeon and face off with him at the end. You need to get to the switch behind him while trying to dodge his hammers and fire breath. You can also go through him if you have the mushroom power-up. This game is highly addictive. It's one of those games that if you lose, you are determined to win. A urge to play again, in other words. A must buy for those true Mario fans and to true gamers. Don't believe me? Buy it and see for yourself. ;)
