This game is half good, and sadly half bad.

User Rating: 7 | Super Mario All-Stars (Super Mario Bros. 25th Anniversary Limited Edition) WII
OK, so everyone here knows who Mario is, right? Well, Nintendo decided to celebrate his 25th Anniversary (Or Birthday) by releasing a game that was released for SNES a long time ago, just the WRONG way. Let's get this review started.

Story [8/10]:
Yeah, for many fans out there, story doesn't matter in Mario games. But it's all of Mario's classics that started it all. Princess Peach (Toadstool) is captured by Bowser, and you have to save her. In all 4 games, the story is the same thing, but it's no big deal really.

Graphics [6/10]:
COMPLETE RIP-OFF. If you played the SNES version of Super Mario All-Stars, I think you should stick with that. Here are some parts that Nintendo failed to do anything with:
1. At the title screen, (NOT the main-menu) if you look below, Nintendo didn't even change the YEAR to 2010. It still says "1993."
2. All the games in Super Mario All-Stars have the same graphics as in the orginal SNES version.
3. At the main-menu, Nintendo could of at least make the box textures a bit more relistic.

Controls [8/10]:
All controls work fine, the Wii Remote holded sideways is similar to New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Classic Controller and Classic Controller Pro work fine with the game (Makes you feel like the SNES controller works with the Wii version), and now here's one controller that you'll need to change an option, and that's Nintendo GameCube controller. When you select a game to play, you need to change the controller options to Type B, or otherwise you'll be having a hard time trying to dash and jump.

Gameplay [6/10]:
Unless you're like me, stick with the SNES version. All gameplay is the EXACT same thing, no changes. This game could've been released on Virtual Console, unless Nintendo is thinking that not everybody has internet (Well, that IS true).

Final Rating [7.0]:
I will rate this game a 7.0 for being a rip-off of a very good SNES game, turning it into a Wii game that could almost fail. But really, the reason you bought this was because you wanted to play Mario.

Reason I half like this:
I had to sell my SNES at the time because I couldn't find half the games I really wanted to buy, and Amazon was EXPENSIVE at the time too. So if you had to sell your SNES system like me, and you're really wanting a classic ol' Mario game, get this.

NOTE:
This game is now IMPOSSIBLE to find at stores. I got VERY luckly on December 31st, 2010, to find the last copy of this in my local Wal-Mart. The only place you could find this now is on EBay or Amazon, but many of them of more than $60, so don't get your hopes up for a very cheap one...
