Mario Does Not Disappoint!

User Rating: 9.5 | Super Mario 64 DS DS
The DS revamp of the 1996 hit mario title Super Mario 64 is a fun DS game, especially with the addition of minigames, 30 more stars to collect, more worlds to explore in addition to the original 15 levels, and multiplayer where you're running, jumping, and beating each other up for stars, etc. Some of the changes include:
-All red switchboxes (no blue or green switchboxes) giving bombs or powerups depending on who you're playing as (i.e: Wario=metal wario)
-Yoshi is your starting player.
-To unlock a character to play as, you have to beat the boss who locked them up to play as them.
-150 stars.
-Silver Stars replacing "visiting" places to get a star.
-7 stars for each course plus the 100 coins to get a bonus star.
-All players get cake in the end.

The only issues with this game are the controls aren't quite on par with the original N64 port and the sound effects are rather tinny at times. However, these don't detract from the overall gameplay, and Super Mario 64 DS is still one of the best mario titles out there, right with the original port on the N64.
