TERRIBLE
Unfortunately I played this one.
The graphics are horrific even when compared to the 8-bit NES.
Everything is dull and washed out. To make matters worse, everything moves painfully slow. Controlling your character seems to be a chore and dodging the bullets fired at you seems to take forever - like in THE MATRIX.
The sound is just a little better but the NES version has higher definition sound (if you can use that term to refer to an 8 -bit system's sound quality)
Most American gamers have never played the arcade form of these games and were only experienced with the Nintendo versions. Anyone born after 1993 has probably never even heard of Contra aside from the SNES Contra3. Why isn't Xbox Live getting the NES versions of Contra/ SuperC and Contra 3? The arcade versions of these games are TERRIBLE. I just couldn't see spending any gamer points on this.
