This game in nothing more than an average RPG

Summoner overall has to be pretty much my least favorite RPG on the PS2. It has some things that are done well though like it's great plot and the summons which you can do. But that's about it. First off I'll start out by saying by far the strongest part of this game. I did finish the game becuase of it's deep and very creative story-line. It was neat how the summons were related to this man, and how the events unfold is great. Very, very good story-line. Story-line 9
The gameplay is pretty much only average on this game. The turn-based style, is certiantly a solid battle system, but it doesn't add enough neat elements in it to make very orginal. Yet the summons were really fun, and it was challenging so overall I'll say that the gameplay was good. Gameplay 7
I must say that these graphics are extremlly dated, and are definetly some of the worst graphics I have ever seen on the PS2. Graphics 5
The sound is another thing in this game that isn't any better than average. The music is actually great, but the voice acting was pretty bad. So overall the sound is average. Sound 7
Even with all the flaws, it remains worth buying because it's a cheap game and because it's also pretty long. Value 7
Overall I must say this might be worth a look from die hard RPG fans. But it has a lot of problems with it, and the only people it really can appeal to is those seriously into RPGs.
